Sports People

We have a special interest in working with sportspeople from recreational to elite level.

Chiropractic can help with “minor sports injuries”, including:

  • Joint pains
  • General aches and pain, including those of joints, muscle spasms and cramp
  • Cervicogenic headache
  • Rotator cuff injuries, diseases or disorders; soft tissue disorders of the shoulder; shoulder complaints, dysfunction, disorders and pain
  • Short-term management of ankle sprains and plantar fasciitis
  • Elbow pain and tennis elbow arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck (but not isolated occurrences)

We aim to find functional weakness in your pelvis/hip/shoulder girdle musculature that could be causing ongoing niggles

We’re keen sportspeople ourselves and enjoy working with people from all sporting backgrounds.

Sports we’ve worked with regularly include:

Running               Horse Riding          Football

Golf                     Rugby                     Cycling

Canoeing             Rowing                  Ice Skating

There’s nothing worse than starting the new season with an old injury. Or missing out on training due to a new niggle. We may be able to help.

Your initial session will involve some simple tests to identify subtle strength imbalances

These imbalances could indicate functional weakness or under/overuse injuries in your musculoskeletal system. Some of which you may not be aware of yourself.

Then we’ll discuss a treatment plan for you and your training needs.

That could be massage, chiropractic or a new strenghtening or stretching regime, or a modification to your current regime
